24h Le Mans Hour 2: Audi leads for first time

First kilometers in the lead for Audi at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: when the race went green again at 16.23 after a safety car period, a nail-biting battle for the lead developed at the head of the field. On lap 24, André Lotterer in the Audi R18 e-tron quattro #7 overtook the two Porsches in front of him before peeling into the pits as leader for the next refueling stop.
Lotterer briefly dropped back to third place during the round of refueling stops, but was able to overtake the two Porsches again. At 17.00 he was 2.4 seconds ahead of Porsche #17 driven by Timo Bernhard.
