Audi in China

Audi has been active in China since 1988 and since 2009, AUDI AG is represented in China by a one hundred percent subsidiary, Audi China. The company has more than 750 employees and coordinates the business cooperation between AUDI AG, FAW Group and the Joint Venture FAW-Volkswagen. Werner Eichhorn is the President of Audi China. The business areas of Audi China include Audi China R&D, Brand Management and Sales & Marketing, Digital Business, PR, Corporate Strategy and Planning, Audi China Sourcing, and Quality/Technical Services.

Audi in Beijing

Audi has been active in China since 1988 and since 2009, AUDI AG is represented in China by a one hundred percent subsidiary, Audi China in Beijing. The company has more than 750 employees and coordinates the business cooperation between AUDI AG, FAW Group and the Joint Venture FAW-Volkswagen. Ms. Gaby-Luise Wüst is the President of Audi China.

Audi in Changchun

The production of automobiles by the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun includes the four major areas of car manufacturing: press shop, body shop, paint shop and assembly. The plant currently produces the Audi A4 L, Audi A6 L, Audi A6 L e-tron, Audi Q3, Audi Q5 L. As such, China has become Audi’s largest single market worldwide.

Audi in Foshan

Since late 2013, Audi has operated a second local production site in China as part of a joint venture with Volkswagen and First Automotive Works (FAW). The Foshan production site is in the southwest province of Guangdong. Covering an area of 100 hectares, it is a complete production facility with press shop, body shop, paint shop and assembly plant.

    Strategic decisions strengthen Audi’s China business and model series management

    This Thursday, the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG decided on further structural changes, thus strengthening the premium brand’s vehicle-project business. A newly created division will independently manage the model series with currently 65 models as well as the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) project house. Audi CEO Markus Duesmann, in his additional function as Board of Management Member for Development, will also head the new division, which is to be a client for Technical Development. The Supervisory Board has made another strategic decision: The Chairman of the Board of Management will assume direct responsibility for the China business in the future.

    Under the motto #neverstopquestioning, Audi has gathered pioneers, visionaries and technical experts from all over the world in Beijing for the third MQ! Innovation Summit. The core question remains: Is there a mobility quotient (MQ), similar to an IQ? In what way could the MQ be measured? How will sustainable mobility be defined in the future? And how might we decode the Chinese customers’ needs for electric mobility? These are only some of the questions that 600 participants, external keynote speakers and internal experts discussed during the last two days.

    Audi brings its MQ! Innovation Summit to China

    Audi is inviting pioneers, visionaries and technical experts from all over the world to Beijing for the third MQ! Innovation Summit to discuss new approaches to innovation topics and the mobility of the future.
