Oliver Hoffmann - Biography
Oliver Hoffmann was born in Hanover on February 25, 1977.
After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Leibnitz in Hannover, he began his career in the Technical Development division at Volkswagen AG in 2004.
From 2005 to 2011, Oliver Hoffmann held various positions at AUDI AG sites in Germany and abroad. He was initially responsible for quality assurance at the Audi Italian subsidiary Automobili Lamborghini; starting in 2006, he was responsible for development of V gasoline engines at Audi Neckarsulm. In 2009 he held a management position for quality assurance at the Audi plant in Győr, Hungary, and subsequently for V gasoline engine development at the Neckarsulm site.
Oliver Hoffmann assumed the position of Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG in 2012.
From 2014 to 2017, he first headed Powertrain Development in Győr and then headed Powertrain Development at AUDI AG.
Oliver Hoffmann has been Head of Technical Development at Audi Sport GmbH since October 2017 and was appointed Managing Director in June 2018.
Oliver Hoffmann assumed two additional management positions in the company in 2019: Head of Technical Development at the Neckarsulm site and Head of Powertrain Development at AUDI AG.
Since July 2020, Oliver Hoffmann has been heading the business operations of Technical Development at AUDI AG as Chief Operating Officer.
