Sites
Audi produces cars at sites all over the world. In addition to the two German Audi plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, it has production facilities in Győr (Hungary), Brussels (Belgium), Martorell (Spain), Bratislava (Slovakia), Aurangabad (India), Jakarta (Indonesia), Changchun and Foshan (China) and Kaluga (Russia), as well as the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese (Italy). Audi is setting further milestones within its 2020 growth strategy with the construction of a new plant in San José Chiapa in Mexico. Start of production of the Audi Q5 at that site is planned for 2016 and the training center has been in operation there since October 2014. This year, Audi will start production of the Audi A3 Sedan in São José dos Pinhais in Curitiba in the federal state of Paraná (Brazil). In the following year, production of the Audi Q3 will also start there. In addition, the Audi Group includes the three motorcycle plants of Ducati in Bologna (Italy), Amphur Plakdaeng (Thailand) and Manaus (Brazil). Whether in Germany or at any other Audi site, the Audi Production System is applied with the principle of “one name, one standard, everywhere.”
