Audi China was founded in 2009 as a one-hundred-percent subsidiary of AUDI AG in Beijing. The company has approximately 600 employees and coordinates business cooperation between AUDI AG, the FAW Group and the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen. The chief executive of Audi China is Dr. Dietmar Voggenreiter.

The business areas of Audi China include Audi R&D Beijing, Corporate Strategy and Planning, Audi China Sourcing, Quality  and Technical Services.

Audi Sport customer racing Asia supports Audi’s customer motorsport program in Asia and organizes the Audi R8 LMS Cup, the first brand cup of AUDI AG worldwide. The Asia-wide GT3 racing series will have its fourth season in 2015 with races in China, South Korea, Japan and Malaysia. It is planned to have a total of six race weekends each with two sprint races, including the premiere of the brand cup in Taiwan.

The area of brand marketing includes Audi City Beijing. The first digital Audi showroom in Asia opened in January 2013 in the center of the metropolis in the north of China. For the first time, visitors can fully experience the model range available in China with all the colors, equipment options and functions. Thanks to innovative media technology, they are able to digitally individualize an automobile out of several million possible configurations and can experience it on a large screen on a life-size scale of 1:1. On a surface area of 2,100 square meters, the two-floor cyberstore also offers space for 14 automobiles as well as for cultural events and exhibitions.
